World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Beta - World Server Is Down

A new has arrived for the Mists of Pandaria beta. Fortunately, this one didn't introduce much crashing unlike the preceding one, but it add enough new content that players are once against swarming the beta and overloading world servers, causing inevitable crashes. Aside from many of the mundane changes, which include the addition of new spells and items, changing of existing ones, among other things, here's what I observed in my short time on the beta:

  • The level cap is now level 88.
  • One major new zone is open: The Kun'lai Summit. It is intended for level 87 characters. In order to reach it, you must enter the Veiled Stair from Valley of the Four Winds, as shown below:
  • Surprisingly, the small, seemingly minor connecting zone had a raid as well as this character:
Yes, it's Wrathion, from the Fangs of the Father quest line.
  • Two new dungeons are also opened, for 87-90 characters. These dungeons are the Mogu'shan Palace and Shado-Pan Monastery.
  • It is pretty clear there will be a significant increase in all character attributes, as level 90 mobs have almost 400k health. They are far more prevalent than before as well.
  • Some minor UI changes, specifically in Options indicating there will be special music for Pet Battles.
  • The Jade Forest General Chat still doesn't seem to be working.
  • Professions also seem to be broken for some reason. I lost my primary professions and have read that this problem may be widespread.
And that's about all the information I have gotten so far. I will run the new instances and check out the new zone and make evaluations near the end of the week, if possible.
